Greetings, Fellow Marketers...

Unless you try to do something beyond what you have already mastered you will never grow.

Growth: that’s what we have in mind for BAM this spring. As such, we’re looking to each of you to see where you want to take this club. As we begin our search for new board members for the 2014-2015 season, we hope each of you will take some time to consider if a spot on the board is right for you.

The Board of Directors is a crucial part of making our club thrive and each and every one of you have a variety of gifts and talents to offer. We have several board positions available. This is a great opportunity to expand your resume, get some hands-on leadership development, and take our club to the next level. Our vision is to grow and provide even more opportunity for you as professionals. We focus our efforts on professional training and good fellowship. Our programs have been seasoned with experts, offering the Billings community access to conversations and key influencers, inspiration and recognition for creativity, and training for professional development. With your help, we can continue down this path and achieve great things as a club and as individuals.

The amazing Shawna Wheeler-Whitmore is leading the Nominating Committee this year. If you are interested in getting more involved in BAM (and we hope you are), please let one of us know. Thank you for your consideration.

PRESENTER BIOS:

Angela Douglas moved to Billings in May 2008, immediately after graduating from St. Cloud State University in Minnesota. Her degree in Mass Communications with an emphasis in TV Broadcast Journalism landed her a job with KTVQ - Q2 News. She later became the anchor/producer of the statewide Noon News. Angela's passion for storytelling and sense of adventure led her to create a series called "Angela's Adventures." Her goal behind the series was to encourage Montanans to get outside and enjoy everything Big Sky Country has to offer. It didn't take long for the series to become a hit with the viewers and over the course of three years, Angela shared 100 adventures with the Billings community and beyond.

March 2014 - Billings Ad Club Meeting

Details:

Join us March 11 at 12:00pm in the Community Room of the new Billings Public Library.

Class Description:

Title: Going Viral

We've all had them shared with us; those videos that capture our attention and beg to be shared with everyone in our contact list. Most of us in the marketing world, in fact, have aspirations to have the best of our work shared over and over again in that way.

But what makes a video go viral? Can it be planned or is it far out of our control? How do you answer a client who says they want you to create “a viral video”?  The Kinetic Agency Principal, Dana Pulis, will answer these questions and share information about how to make your next video project a successful one on any level.

Presenter Bio:

Dana Pulis is the Principal/Owner of The Kinetic Agency. She began her career as a journalist with the Billings Gazette, eventually expanding into copywriting and public relations work for organizations such as Kampgrounds of America and St. Vincent Healthcare. In 2006 she founded Kinetic to expand marketing and advertising services to local businesses.  Today the Addy-award winning agency, located at 117 North Broadway, specializes in helping companies of every size improve internal and external communications through the strategic application of both online and traditional media.

Dana is a native of Billings, having graduated from Senior High School. She has been married to her husband David for 23 years and together they have three sons. Dana recently ended her term as a board member for Good Earth Market and is active in other community volunteer efforts.
